Hawthorne’s vet externship program allows you to gain real-world knowledge to help you determine your career path while meeting your college’s pre-vet or vet tech student requirements. Many aspiring techs who start at Hawthorne love their experience so much, they’ve made our hospital their professional home!
During your externship at our full-service, AAHA-accredited hospital in Glen Carbon, Ill., you’ll work one-on-one with our trained staff during two-week rotations in each department for a comprehensive learning opportunity.
